I’m just surfacing from a lovely baking spree. This evening’s results:
* Mary Berry’s walnut cake
* a pint of real custard
* chocolate sponge (pending)
I only ever embark on real custard (eggs and all) with great trepidation, but each time it seems to turn out fine – strangely soothing to make and truly the ultimate in comfort eating.
Anyway. Worship wars. Where were we?
Where’s the picture? Otherwise we might be led to believe you cheated and got some Mr Kiplings and a tin of Ambrosia custard.

Nope, not unless Anne’s not telling me something.
Excitingly the chocolate cake was egg-free, to cater for special dietary requirements, and it worked.

In that case – amusing Baptists and American Presbyterians too it would seem!
This is dairy & egg avoidance, gluten being about the only thing that doesn’t pose a problem.
