Over and out till the end of next week. Not exactly to celebrate the jubilee, but, you know, we’re quite fond of her really.
As well you should be! Elisabeth has, as of this year, been married to the same man for 65 years, and has carried out her duties as Queen with the utmost dignity and responsibility. Even as an American (from those break-away colonies!), I can appreciate her and the conscientiousness with which she has acted as Queen – a sinner, like all the rest of us, but one who has known her position before God (as far as one can tell). Plus, by the time I was born in November, 1952, she had already been Queen for nearly a year!
Enjoy the celebrations! It’s a very special occasion.
